My children aren’t the easiest to feed in the morning’s. Maxwell, the ten month old, will usually eat oatmeal, pancakes, or waffles. I should mention it is usually a hassle to get him strapped into the highchair. It’s like wrestling a crazed animal who turns into a wet noodle without any warning. It’s actually quite humorous if you’re not the one snapping the harnesses. Isaac, the nine year old, is another story when it comes to breakfast. He will gladly accept a Pop-Tart (chocolate fudge, or cookies and cream only) any day of the week, but come on… what kind of mother would let their kid eat straight sugar first thing in the morning every day? He’ll eat waffles, or those pancakes-on-a-stick too. Eggs… well, it’s almost like pulling teeth to get him interested in an egg. However, today I was successful in my selling the scrambled egg to the world’s pickiest eater! Wanna know how I did it? Coffee. The boy loves coffee! (This is where one could say that the coffee bean doesn’t fall far from the tree.) So with the promise of coffee after eggs, toast, and milk the frying pan came out of the cabinet.
You may notice the brand of coffee represented in the photo. This came from M&N. They too have a fine appreciation of coffee and tea. The contents inside are no longer the Incredible Illy Coffee, I just loved the canister and now keep my Starbuck’s Espresso Roast inside. I do love Illy Coffee though and would recommend any serious coffee lover to check them out online. www.illyusa.com
